Agility World - It's now officially a Show!

The Kennel Club has historically used the term ‘agility test’ in relation to agility events. This has caused some confusion, as the majority of agility competitors and enthusiasts refer to agility events as ‘shows’. This confusion is particularly apparent in relation to judges’ qualification and whether the minimum number of appointments required refer to classes or ‘shows’.

The General Committee has acknowledged this view and has therefore amended the H Regulations to reflect the terminology used by agility competitors and enthusiasts and remove any uncertainty. The word “Test” has been changed to “Show” throughout the Agility (H) Regulations with the exception of Regulation H(1)(B).1 which refers to ‘classes’ instead of ‘tests’.

These Regulation amendments become effective on 1 January 2007.

Oh, but I think we still have a SHOW Secretary and a COMPETITION Manager!
